We compared charaters, plots, settings, and conflicts. Then, we chose our favorite Brett book and wrote a summary of the story. We then made two of the main characters using construction paper and completed our pop-up scenes.
To culminate our author study, we explored Jan Brett's amazing website (www.janbrett.com) and watched the following video that taught us how to draw the popular Hedgie.
